| Philosophy Statement Our program is designed to meet the needs of young children. The program is based on Christian values and provides experiences that enhance each child's social, emotional, physical and creative development. Children develop a positive self-esteem through a balance of self-and-teacher-directed activities, including solitary play, group activities, interacting within their environment and learning about their community. Our staff members serve as positive role models and provide care that is supportive, nurturing, warm and responsive to each child's individual needs. Our staff members are valuable resources for the children and the families and work together to achieve common goals. We believe that families are the primary and most important providers of care and nurturing for their child(ren). At our center we feel that a strong, open partnership with the parents is in the best interest for a child's future. We believe that our community consists of many diverse individuals who have special talents, knowledge and experiences that can be shared with our children and families. Therefore, we believe strongly in friendly cooperative relationships and networking with the people, organizations and businesses in our community. |
