Prayer

Pastor Matthew's Message:

I am very thankful to God as we start this new stage of His work in
Black Canyon. My prayer is that we would all continue to grow in the
grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and that we would be
faithful in doing the work that He has prepared for us. Above all I
ask that He would bless us and allow us to fulfill both the great
commandment (Matt 22:36-40) and the great commission (Matt 28:19-20).

Matt 22:36-40 (The Great Commandment):
36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”
37 Jesus replied, “ ‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your
mind.’* 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your
neighbor as yourself.’* 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two
commandments.”

Matt 28:19-20 (The Great Commission):
18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,* baptizing them in the name of the Father and the
Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And
be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

   We are blessed to have finally hired a wonderful new
   Pastor - Matthew Bickley, and for this, we give thanks to the
   Lord for His blessings and answer to the many prayers that have
   been prayed by many.
