THE LITTLE WORRIES NO ONE KNOWS ARE THERE.

WHENEVER THERE IS NO ONE ELSE TO CARE.

WHEN NO ONE WILL –
GOD WILL.

GOD WILL TALK WITH ME

    ENCOURAGING LOVE                         July 18, 2010

Always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.
1 Thessalonian 5:15

The restaurant was crowded. A handful of waitresses tried to serve the many guests that were
waiting for their food. A family of four made rude remarks regarding the service, and the father
spoke harshly to his server. She rushed to the back and returned with a tray filled with food. On
her return trip, a plate fell from her tray and shattered.

After a stunned half-second, the waitress broke down and cried. From the next table, a woman
stood up without a word and gave the waitress an encouraging hug. The waitress cried on her
shoulder for a few seconds before cleaning up the dish.

When the waitress returned to the family’s table, the father promptly apologized to her, and a
smile returned to her face. Isn't funny how the kind actions of others can often bring out the best
in people, even during difficult circumstances. Sometimes a simple hug or even just a smile is all it
takes to turn a frown upside down!

It's Worth the Wait                  July 11, 2010

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him. Psalm 37:7

They were a young couple in love, and they knew they wanted to be together. But there were a few things
standing in the way. She waited for him until he completed his stint in the Army, and then he waited for
her while she finished college. Then she waited for him a second time, this time waiting out his years in
the Navy. A total of thirteen years passed before they got married. But by all accounts, theirs was a sweet
and contented marriage, one that lasted almost Sixty-five years.

Some of the best things in life don’t happen in an instant and requires waiting. If you’re waiting and
hoping for God to provide something, don’t give up. What He has for you is worth the wait.

You’re in a hurry. God is not. Trust God.

DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE                   Sunday, July 4, 2010


It's been a very long time since I'd read the      DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE.  As it was coming to
the Independence Day celebration I re-read it and found the first two paragraphs to read a little
differently. I clearly saw that these men had a very strong conviction for God when they were planning for
our country.  Take a look at these words below, and when you have some time, look into the whole
document.  It will be important in keeping our country together in the future!
"When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political
bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the
separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect
to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the
separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their
Creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
There are millions of Service men and women that have fought and even given their lives for our
independence and freedom. These persons should be in our daily prayers - as should be the prayers for
our country's continued independence and freedom.  

PRAYER:  Dear God, as I celebrate our independence and our freedom, let me remember it is by your
grace that I live where we do and have the many blessings to enjoy. I thank you each and every day for
holding our country in your safe hands. Amen
